Twilight Run to Wisemans Ferry
Enjoy a 3-hour twilight run on superb roads starting in Northern Sydney and ending at The Retreat in Wisemans Ferry. Dinner and barefoot bowls at the Bowling Club Saturday night.
Ideal for slower cars, new members, and families.
This is a new event organised but one of our new committee members, Malcolm Knight with assistance from Jeremy Morris.
The idea is to have a short, easy navigation rally late in the afternoon to take advantage of the last long days of summer, so people can accommodate school sport or other social commitments with their vintage motoring activities.
This will depart from the Berowra Truck stop with a departure time of 4.30 pm for slower cars with a total distance of 130 kms on empty rural roads. Total travel time is about three hours.
Dinner
The rally will conclude with an a la carte dinner at the bowling club (dish prices roughly $15-25). There is the option for barefoot bowls after dinner at $5 per head- kids free.
You do not have to stay
You do not have to stay the night- you can depart after the rally, or after dinner.

Because of other bookings, there is limited accommodation available at the Retreat, so you will need to book asap. Average cost is about $150 for the night, depending on the type of room you select.

Breakfast or brunch- it is up to you
Breakfast is available at the Retreat at $25 per head, but we are planning to get up at a reasonable time and take a scenic route on quiet roads for a further 50 kms to have brunch at Berowra Waters. There is no capacity to book but we are assured that we will be able to get tables. The cost is about the same.
After brunch, cross the ferry, let the modern traffic pass you, and take the hill at a pace which suits you and your car.
