Every year, Yarramalong Valley hosts a scarecrow competition. From traditional scarecrows to imaginative and humorous designs, this much-loved event highlights the unique talents of the local community.
This year at the joint Treasure Hunt (hosted by the Alvis Car Club, VSCCA, Lancia Club and Morris Club), we will find and photograph as many scarecrows as we can and enjoy a meal with our fellow car enthusiasts.
The Plan and Meeting Place
Meet at noon at Peats Ridge Village (1109 Peats Ridge Rd, Peats Ridge), where we will receive our instructions. There is food, facilities and a very interesting Garden Art Gallery.
We drive along Yarramalong Road to see the scarecrows, taking as many photos as we can of the ones we like best.
We will then continue to Wyong Milk Factory (141 Alison Rd, Wyong) for a hearty lunch and the ‘prize presentation’.
After receiving your Toblerone prize, eating your meal and enjoying the company of your fellow enthusiasts, you will find your own way home.

Members of the VSCCA, Lancia Club and Morris Register are the invited guests, as these were Brian Wilson’s favourite motoring Clubs.

Brian was a keen member of four car Clubs (and in no particular order) - The Vintage Sports Car Club of Australia, the Alvis Car Club, the Lancia Motor Club and the Morris Register.
At the time of his death, he was the events coordinator for the Alvis Club and was planning a treasure hunt on 25 October.
