VSCCA’s Rally to Dubbo
to celebrate Royal Flying Doctor Service
7-11th May 2018

It is with great disappointment that we announce the Royal Flying Doctors Service Rally is cancelled. 

However, we are leaving the event in the club calendar in the event that any members wish to attend Dubbo on the nominated dates of 7-11 May and use their car under the Concessional Registration Scheme.

This decision has been triggered by recent reports that the local council (who operate the Dubbo Airfield) have absolutely prohibited any motor vehicle, or other access near the aircraft, so that the proposed historical display cannot take place as planned. 

The car park at the airport would not be available for use by our members and there is no opportunity for a display.  This, combined with the cancellation of the formal dinner, reduced the benefit of the event to members.   

This is a decision that has not been taken lightly and is a serious disappointment to the organisers, the Committee and members.
